Song List

IMPORTANT: You can expect between 40 and 45 songs at a typical 4-hour event
(depending upon the number of speeches, toasts, etc.). Those 40 to 45 songs (and how well they are performed) will be a major determining factor in the success of your event. MIXED COMPANY bands have become quite proficient at selecting just the right mix for any event. The bands work from a specially formulated "playlist" that has been evolving since 1989, the year the original MIXED COMPANY started adding their unique touch to Atlanta events. It is not a requirement for you to pick any additional songs since the MIXED COMPANY band members use the formula playlist as a starting point and make adjustments throughout the event (analyzing the response of your guests) to determine the best musical direction to maintain proper flow. However, if there are specific songs on the list that you want the band to be sure and play, just let your Arsis Productions representative know in advance.
The band members spend literally hours per song, both personally and collectively, tweaking and perfecting to get as close to the original popular recording as possible. Why? Because quality does matter! If you and your guests don't quickly recognize a song, the dancing stops. If the songs are re-arranged to suit the band's preferences, after an hour or two, everything sounds the same and boredom begins. No other band in the Southeast will come even close to the level of perfection a MIXED COMPANY band achieves. So, while this list may not be as long as some (since our focus is quality, not quantity), you can be assured that your guests will recognize every song almost instantly, leaving no doubt which dance step is required. This is the key to keeping your party at maximum "fun-factor" level for the duration. It is also the reason so many people refer a MIXED COMPANY band to their friends. Our ultimate goal is to keep the dance floor as full as possible for the duration of the event.
NOTICE: Not all of the songs in the list are appropriate for all events and the band adjusts accordingly. For example, don't expect to hear "YOU'VE LOST THAT LOVING FEELING" at a wedding reception, but do expect to hear "TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS" at a corporate event. Other songs in the list are done instrumentally as part of the dinner music set, when required, or as part of the CD music during breaks.
