MC2K wedding reception and corporate event party band with optional brass section, Atlanta, Georgia - photo by Cheryl Alford MC2K, formed in the year 2000, is an Atlanta-based music showcase continuing the tradition of the MIXED COMPANY band, effectively making it possible for more than one party to enjoy the same musical experience on the same date. The band features male and female vocals, keyboards, bass, drums, and guitar, plus an optional brass section. MC2K continues the tradition of the original band by providing the best variety of contemporary rock and roll, classic rock and roll, pop, jazz, swing, rhythm and blues, disco, beach, soul, shag, country, country-crossover, and party favorites, especially suited for a wedding reception, trade show, convention, corporate event, fund raiser, political rally, or any special event where live music is desired. And just like MIXED COMPANY, all of the songs are performed to sound like the original popular recording. Every song is well rehearsed in order to capture the unique styling that creates the characteristic sound your guests will easily identify. This means that your guests will know within the first few seconds of a song what dance step is required. And that translates into hours and hours of listening and dancing without boredom.

MC2K uses the latest technology, including a digital signal processor that can analyze the acoustic profile of any room and adjust the sound system to automatically create the best acoustical balance for that room. MC2K is that serious about attention to detail.

THANK YOU COMMENT FROM AUGUST 19, 2006 WEDDING CLIENT

I just wanted to thank you and the band for such an enjoyable evening. Everyone commented about the great band and vocalists. I hope this experience generated some bookings for you as we had a large number of people attending who could spread the word. The band was very professional and talented. I am so happy I booked the horn player as an afterthought, as he added so much to the music.

Dear Doug:

Thank you so much for the great show last night. We were totally impressed with the professionalism and high quality performance of your group. A couple of people asked me about how they could get in contact with you, which is the highest compliment.

Your band was actually the most expensive option we had, so I was nervous about choosing you, as this was a fund raiser for the school. But it turned out great and was well worth the money--actually made our event a greater success.

I would be happy to be a reference for you, if the need ever arises.

Sincerely,

Gayle M. Sherlag

Dear Doug:

We wanted you to know how much we all thoroughly enjoyed the band. Jamie and Wade certainly did an an excellent job in choosing them! Everybody said that they were fantastic and as you so rightly said, the additional singer was incredible. So many guests said that they were the best band they had ever heard.

Please extend our thanks to all of the members. They will be highly recommended by everyone.

Thanks again Doug.

POSTING AT THEKNOT.COM FROM MAY 15, 2004 WEDDING CLIENT

Topic: Mixed Company band?

From: Aimes

We used MC2K for our reception in May of this year. They were great - we got a lot of complements about the music.

They were loud enough that you could hear them and dance if you wanted, but not so loud that they distracted from anything else.

People started dancing as soon as dinner was over. The only thing we requested was our first dance song (At Last) and they did the rest. (And if you tell them you don't want the chicken dance, electric slide and stuff, they won't play it.)

They went to our location shortly after we signed the contract so they could check things out and figure out how to set things up. They were very easy to work with and they're nice people. (My husband and the drummer have been friends since they were kids.)

Dear MC2K:

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for the outstanding job you did for the fund raiser conducted on behalf of The Women's Crisis Center. You did an excellent job of anticipating what the crowd liked and adapting your play list to please the guests. I had many people comment about how much they enjoyed the event and hoped that we would have you entertain us at our next event. We look forward to working with you again.

Hi Doug!

The band was absolutely fantastic. Corrie and Steve were so nice and very accomodating. Everybody had a blast . . . of course, I guess that was obvious when we paid overtime! We could not have been more pleased and appreciate all the hard work. I hope we find an opportunity to work together again in the future.

Thanks,

Sonja O'Neal

Dear Steve and MC2K,

Thank you so much for playing at the reception for our wedding. I loved the arrangement of music that was played and you sounded terrific. In fact, at the beginning, I overheard a lady say that she thought a CD was playing! We had so much fun dancing and singing along with the band all night! We were very pleased at how smoothly everything went and how flexible you all were at playing the different varieties of music for all of the age groups there. Whenever the wedding is mentioned around people that attended, the band is always the center of the conversation. Everyone loved the way that the band made friends with the audience and really got in to the atmosphere of the wedding. I cannot express in words how much we enjoyed everything that you did and I thank you so much for sharing this special day with us. I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate the joining of our families. Thank you again for making our day so special.

Many Thanks,

Jessica & Rob Holley
